In Safari Math Adventures #13 – Touch and Count with Our Animal Friends’ Favorite Foods 0 – 26, children build confidence with numbers 0–26 by connecting each number to its Zoo-phonics Animal Friend and favorite food. For example, catina cat’s favorite food is carrots. She represents number 3, so she eats three carrots.
Children trace numbers, count Favorite Food Cut-Ups, and match number words to ordinal numbers to reinforce number value and quantity. By connecting numbers, language, and familiar Animal Friends, Zoo-phonics integrates multiple curriculum areas and strengthens understanding.
