The Judges:

• Cheryl Moe, Special Education Teacher, Michigan; Certified Teacher of Trainers, Zoo-phonics
• Katie Edwards, Director, Safari Learning Academy (a Zoo-phonics school); Vice-President, Zoo-phonics
• Dr. Charlene A. Wrighton, Author, President/CEO, Zoo-phonics; Director, Safari Learning Academy

The Judging Process:

The judges had the rubric from which to judge. As they read the submissions, they analyzed the rubric against the writing and judged whether applicants had met the criteria or not. The judges didn’t work together, nor did they see each other’s scores, nor did they confer. Once the judging was complete, an average score was gained. There were so many high scores, first place awards were given to each applicant who scored 20 or higher. The need for educational support in each of these submissions told us that everyone received Zoo-phonics materials, based on their scores. Everyone was given a free workshop!
Thank you to our amazing DONOR who has lovingly provided Zoo-phonics materials to these deserving teachers and children. Brava!
